My obsession with the ocean began at an early age growing up in Newport Beach just steps from the infamous Wedge. The Morey Boogie board was just invented which acted as a catalyst for my surfing pursuits.  I consider the ocean as my church and I continue to visit it often. 

My affection for animation blossomed under the influence of Chuck Jones' family, with whom I had the privilege of growing up and frequently working in his office. Animation has remained an integral part of my life, as it has continually captivated my interest.

Drawing upon over two decades of experience within Southern California's marketing communications landscape, I proudly serve as the principal of Positive + Logic, a boutique digital marketing agency. Throughout my career, I have catered to an extensive array of clients, including renowned brands such as Coca-Cola, AT&T, Habitat for Humanity, Vans, and Etnies.

Being an internationally accredited public relations professional, I have consistently achieved exceptional media coverage and my expertise has garnered editorial recognition in esteemed publications like PC Magazine, LA TIMES, Wall St. Journal, and Forbes. Furthermore, my involvement in the film industry encompasses contributions to notable motion pictures, including Star Trek – Nemesis, Solaris, AntiTRUST, AI and 2Fast - 2Furious.

Through the medium of Johnny and Rugburn's Surf Antics, we aim to capture the spirit of the fun-filled life Doug and I shared growing up together and we look forward to sharing it with you.
